This is currently my main rig. This is a great radio - it doesn't have any vintage character, but the reciever is wonderful and it really does a good job contesting.
Pick a link from the menu at the left to see information about a Y adapter cable for a Heil Proset-IC headset with a PTT foot pedal.
Also, I've done a few simple modifications to the rig and wrote a bit about it. There is plenty of information about mods on the web, so search around and read as much as you can before diving in. None of these modifcations are my design, but hopefully some of my explanation and pictures will help.
